Cache is hidden just off the mown grass area and is a sistema container painted black.
This is our very first cache hide and we chose this position for a couple of reasons. It is close to home for ease of future maintenance and offers a great view. Little Miss 5 year old helped us put this together and found the location to hide it.
The area offers some great views of the Pauatahanui Inlet and the Tasman Sea of which we’ve posted a couple of pics. The area is kid and dog friendly.

You can access it from one of three ways, depending on your needs.
- Point 1: Simple walk up some steps, limited parking. S -41° 6.550, E 174° 53.4799
- Point 2: Car park and push chair access. S -41° 6.630, E 174° 53.5410
- Point 3: A walk “at your risk”. S -41° 6.460, E 174° 53.5880
