This series complements the Country Pubs of Sussex (CoPS) series
instigated by sparkyweb.
This is one of a sequence of village inns in and around the
Angmering area. Whilst each of them can be readily accessed by car,
a little pre–planning and possession of a map can easily convert
the route into a pleasant stroll along paths and leafy lanes
through Angmering and its environs.
The World's End - Patching
Formerly called the Horse & Groom, this inn is on the old
A27 and has mock and imported décor and piped music with some
breweriana giving the feeling of a large restaurant but the food
and beer are good. Flagged floors and oak beams set the tone. There
is a large garden with a stream and fenced children's play area.
Currently open all day every day. The cache is a small tape
camouflaged container approx 90mm x 65mm diameter with room for
small swaps, TB’s, Geocoins, etc. For those not wishing to avail
themselves of the hostelry's facilities, off road parking is
available nearby.
