This is a combined event with the MAGC (Military Association of GeoCachers) to introduce kids from the Arsenal to geocaching. We will do a M&G at the restaurant at 10:30. The people from the base will meet us with the kids in the base vans with their drivers at 12:30 and we will be divided up between them. They're talking 15-30 kids between 8 and 18. They will have their own GPSes.
If you have any suggestions for caches, especially a lot that can be reached from one parking area, please send them to me. I'd also like to make sure that they find a big one that we can put enough swag in for them to each get something, maybe even do a temp.
Speaking of military matters, MY SOLDIER will be leaving the catbox, ooops, I mean sandbox on March 1! HOOAH (it's an army thing). After his four flights, he should get in to Atlanta by the 7th. So if I seem lost in space that day, that's why.
After 3 years of living apart ( he was in B'ham near his reserve unit for 2 years before deploying) we are looking forward to being under one roof full time, caching on his new Harley and a 25th Ann. trip to Ireland and Scotland.
Thanks to everyone for helping keep me sane this past year. The events gave me something to do where, as a single/married person, I felt comfortable, and the cachers that took me out with them helped add a lot of finds to my list. God Bless You All!
