While driving through Dyer Gap, altitude 2,840ft, you will pass by this old cemetery. This location belonged to the Dyer Family. The Dyer family was a pioneer family in the area before the area became a national forest, and they still maintain the family cemetery to this day.
Please be respectful and avoid caching near here during Decoration Day (Sunday of Memorial Day weekend).
The cache is a small lock n lock with several good quality trade items - please trade the same or better (it contains: poison ivy spray, glow sticks, Swedish spork, and a water bottle holder with attaching carabiner). There is an LED flashlight for the FTF. There is a pencil and sharpener for the log book. Please keep the pencil sharpened and use front and back of each log book page for entries.
Please camouflage as found so as to not look obvious.
Small note: As required by the USFS for caches hidden in the Chattahoochee National Forest the cache is prominently labeled as a geocache and the label includes the GC1M480 waypoint number and the owner's e-mail address. Enjoy!
