The cache has been moved from its original hiding spot to decrease the likelihood that it will be taken by people drawn to look at the ruins. To log this find you must:
1) Find the cache at the posted coordinates and sign the log.
Optionally you may also:
2) Post a picture of a member of your group swimming in the pool, or of your favourite part of the ruins (which are within eyesight of the cache).
This was originally hidden by LargoBob, and the swag and logbook are all thanks to him. If you have found this before, you may still log a find as it is completely rehidden. This is a new hide, despite the old logbook.
The cache is a military first aid container on State Gamelands, so do be sure to wear orange in the appropriate seasons, and be careful. The hike to the cache is significant and uphill, but mostly on a good path.
Cacher WesternPABilly gives us the following story about the history of this site: "I was told by a friend and somewhat of an old-timer of Bolivar that hiked this mountainous region almost daily in his childhood between these two points that this Penn View Mt Pool cache site was the location of a hunting club. The wives of the members got wind of their husbands bringing women to the club "for less then honorable" reasons so to speak :-) One night the wives got together and went up and burned the structures down.My friend remembers seeing the burnt out buildings some time after it happened."
