The idea of this series is to lead you around the many paths
that surround the new development at Cambourne in Cambridgeshire.
The development has many open green spaces and footpaths, cycleways
bridleways that criss-cross the area. These pathways look over some
lovely tracts of countryside in any season. Another thing you will
have noticed as you walked between the caches was the amount of
tree/bush planting the developers have carried out. When it all
matures it should look very impressive.
Many parts of the development have not made their way on OS maps
yet so here is a link to a map showing the current pathways -

The posted co-ordinates are for a convenient parking spot - the
cache is within a mile of this location. Not far away is a well
known supermarket chain. If you wish for something stronger there
is a public hostelry near there. At one of these locations you can
solve the following puzzle if you have the method of decryption (or
access to the internet), the key and all the code characters from
the fifteen caches. Don't be surprised if you have to visit a
second time to complete this bonus cache.
The Puzzle
You need to have the fifteen code characters and the fifteen
cache numbers you found them in.
Using the decryption method and the key (found in two of the
caches) you will be able to line up each code character with a
letter of the alphabet A - O.
To get the calculated number required for each letter you carry
out the following for each character....
Example: If the character matches up with the letter M and you
found it in cache #9
- so the number you are looking for is (M = 13) + (Cache = 9) =
22 then reduce it down to a single number by adding the digits
together - so 2 + 2 = 4
After doing this you should end up with a series of single digit
numbers for the letters A to O.
The cache is at:
North ((A-K)+I)(B-L) (F-A)(A-L-I).(C-E)(K-O)(G-K)
West (B-C)(K-N)
((G+L)-A)(E-D).(A-N)(F-(O+D))(D+I)

The Cache
The cache is a large camouflaged ammo box with log book and
swaps. However the cache has another surprise.... from the fifteen
numbers you collected and after you have solved the above puzzle
you should have three number/letter combinations left - take the
information with you, you will need it.
There is a FTF badge for the first finder and choice of
goodies.
Part of the difficulty level is due to fact that extreme stealth
is required at the cachesite as it can be a very busy spot - so
keep an eye out for muggles.
When replacing the cache, please ensure it is well
hidden and no labelling is visible.
