The first stage is small. It contains the coordinates for the second stage. Both stages are just off the road, no long hikes involved. 4 wheel drive is not required to get to this cache if you follow the directions at the end of the description. Part of the road is paved, the other is red dirt, but it's well maintained.
This cache hide is located where a bridge crosses Rocky creek on the Eglin range. The creek has a small parking lot and a boat launch for Kayaks and canoes. The creek is rather wide, and swift, with decent depth. It flows into Rocky Bayou. It's a popular kayak run down to Rocky Bayou from this bridge. I've never launched anything here, but my family does enjoy fishing off of the bridge. We also like the view. The creek is beautiful and makes for a nice drive.
The original cache contents are all Valetine's day goodies, plus a FTF present!
This cache is within the Eglin air force base reservation. A pass is required to be on the reservation. It cost $10 (2008) for October - September and comes with a great map. It can be obtained from Eglin AFB Natural Resources Branch (Jackson Guard Office), located at 107 Highway 85 North, Niceville FL 32578. See GCKC1A or coordinates N 30° 31.480 W 086° 29.585. Office hours are: Monday-Thursday 7:00-4:30pm; Friday 7:00am-6:00pm; Saturday 7:00am-12:30pm; Closed on Sunday and Federal Holidays. A pass can be obtained by going to Jackson Guard or by mail. (See above address). Mail a copy of your most recent pass to Jackson Guard at above address with any changes in address noted. It takes 1 to 2 weeks to process. If you do not have a pass, mail a copy of your driver’s license with your phone number. Payment by mail must be by check. They will accept it made out to Jackson Guard. Phone # is (850)882-4164. A pass can also be obtained immediately by going to Jackson Guard in person during office hours.

**FROM NICEVILLE**
1. Head North on highway 285, turn right (east) onto Jackson trail road (paved) coords are N30 33.642 W86 26.636.
2. Drive 1.8 miles to range road 219, turn right (south east), coords at this turn are N30 34.053 W86 24.944 (Red dirt road.)
3. Drive 3 miles to the bridge. Again, this road is well maintained and do-able for a car.
