Parking is off Klondike Road. This is part of the NCC Green Belt and is accessed by a network of trails.
This is a GAG 13 cache so please don’t access it until 1800 hr 13 February 2009.
I set these hides up as more of a winter bushwhacking excursion on snowshoes though I have seen people off trail on cross country skis in there as well. These generally aren’t ‘in and out hides’ like the Voyageur series and may be an hour or even two depending on whether you have picked up the neighbouring caches already. I can’t attest for any warm weather issues ie poison ivy and swamp as there was two feet of snow when I set them out. It would have to be a pretty bad snow year for any of these hides to be inaccessible and they generally all follow the same theme in order to remain winter friendly. Nothing crafty or difficult to decipher here. Just an excuse to get outdoors, get some fresh air and enjoy the bush right in our Nations Capital. The cache is a Lock n Lock with the standard trading items, log book and pencil.
