A No Frills February Family event, just as an excuse to get together. No games, no quizzes, no prizes - just dinner! Apologies to northsiders but I have chosen a place close to home.
The location is the Ethiopia Down Under restaurant in Pearce. Mr Winglen and I go there now and again, and find the food really good and the service very friendly. From the Ethiopia Down Under website, "Ethiopian food is hot and spicy, but not hot." In our experience it is rather like Indian - lots of different types of meats, vegetables and lentils but with more spice than heat. This restaurant is the real thing, run by an Ethiopian family.
For simplicity we will go for a banquet. The banquet is $27 per person and includes a variety of chicken, beef, other meats, vegetable and lentil dishes seved with rice and their traditional bread, followed by Ethiopian coffee. Please let me know if there is anyone who has special requirements such as vegetarian or any allergies. Also please indicate your attendance - don't just read the listing and show up. If we get sufficient numbers (that being 30 people) we may even have the restaurant to ourselves.
