Super_Nate: I wanted to get this cache back up to speed, but I'm moving to North Dakota.....so will have to put this one to rest. Put another cache here. It's a nice place.

Geocache Description:

Sacred Ornithology

One of the things that I enjoy the most about Geocaching is continually finding places that I never knew existed. I have lived in the Chattanooga area since the day I was born, and one would think that I have visited it all. Well, obviously after my hiding spree today I determined that is far from the truth.

The day before I hid this cache, I was doing a Google search of a local park and several of the return results I received was for this location. After researching the area, I learned that this was indeed a gem of a place that was in need of some cacher exploration. According to the internet hits, this is a favorite location among birdwatchers to come and observe birds such as the Least Bittern and the Virginia Rail. Other birds that have been seen here include marsh species such as the King Rail, Sora, Sedge Wren, and Marsh Wren. A rare nester, the Blue-Winged Teal, was also found here back in 2004.

Here is how to solve for the coordinates:

For as cool of a location that this is, I think a cool puzzle to go along with the location is inevitable. This one is actually very easy for me to pull off because I do not have to provide any instruction of how to solve. All I need to do is provide the coordinates for the cache….simple as that. So with those encouraging words here are the coordinates for the cache:

NORTH degrees .
WEST degrees .

You will be looking for a clear micro about the exact length and width of a geocoin. Fear not, the cache container is waterproof and everything inside should stay dry considering where it is hidden.

I will point out that the signs near the cache location allow visitors to swim at your own risk….well, I definitely would not want to go swimming here, but hey…go for it if you absolutely want to.

I plan to hide another cache here soon, as well listing an Earthcache to educate on the significance of features such as the one you see here.

Have fun
