Helmshore Riverside Walk 4 is a small geocache located next to the River Ogden in the Rossendale Valley.
The River Ogden arises from the Grane Valley, it travels through Helmshore before reaching the River Irwell at Irwell Vale.
In Helmshore there is the Textiles Museum. There is also a cafe located across the road from the museum. There are other options for walking in the area - such as the hills nearby, and also the reservoirs on the Grane Road.
The cache site is located near to small bridge that crosses the infant River Ogden. The area is popular with muggles - so some stealth may need to be used.
You could park on Holcombe Road, and walk to the cache - alternatively you could combine the cache with others in the area. Please note that the footpath down from Holcombe Road - can be wet and muddy, and that the steps can also be slippery. Please also be careful near the river.
