Sioux Falls' First Pict-O-Cache Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

5-4-Fun: It is with great sadness that we have to let this one go. Due to our friend's illness, her shop has now been closed so the final location is no longer available. A special thanks to Statictank for helping me get this page set up and to Oldman124 for the idea. Hope everyone who had the chance to complete this one had fun on their mini tour of downtown Sioux Falls!!!

Geocache Description:

We had so much fun finding our first pict-o-cache in Norfolk, NE that we figured we'd create one in Sioux Falls. This cache is dedicated to Old Man 124 who created the Norfolk Pict-O-Cache (GCZ7EQ). A very special thanks goes to StaticTank for help with the pics and the HTML codes. We hope you enjoy your walk downtown and the hunt as well!

The cache is not at the posted coordinates, it is simply your starting point for the journey. From the starting point, you will need to look for the item in picture #1. Once found, proceed to this item and get as close to it as possible. From there, continue on to the next picture (and so on) until you have found the last picture. Keep in mind the pictures are not necessarily to scale.

Occasionally, you may need to step out a few feet to get a better vantage point to find the next location. Each item shown can be seen from the location of the picture prior. However, the pictures shown here may have been taken at a closer or slightly different angle from the way you will see it from your standing location, but once you get to the item you should be able to confirm that you are at the right object.

Unfortunately the item in picture 19 is no longer there. Please search below the item in picture number 18. No need to look INSIDE the mailbox. You are searching for a slim bob with a couple of magnets attached.

If you have a keen eye, you can complete this journey in as little as 15-20 minutes depending upon your physical ability. You may be able to drive to each location, however, it may be difficult to spot some of the items unless you are on foot and parking may be difficult as well, so we would recommend the walking tour.

You will not need to enter any of the buildings to find the items in the pictures shown. If you choose to do so, you may go back and visit any of the interesting stops along the way.

Some of the local cachers may recognize a picture or two and be tempted to skip ahead to the end but we encourage you to follow them in order since it will be more fun that way. Be sure to sign the log at the final cache location and watch out for cars when crossing any streets.

The final location is on private property with permission from the owner. Stop and say “hi” to Kellie or Reece as they may be watching your antics from inside...don't let them scare you away!!! A special thanks for allowing the cache to be placed. Enjoy your journey through downtown Sioux Falls and most of all have FUN!!!

Congratulations to Geoboss on the FTF!!!
