"I MORTI DELLA SELVA. In quella che fu la "selva", a settentrione di Drugolo, sorge una chiesetta detta dei "Morti della Selva". La chiesetta fu edificata nel perimetro di un lazzaretto, che fin dal 1445 raccolse, come indica un mattone conservato al Museo Cristiano di Brescia, gli appestati di Drugolo e di Padenghe. Gli Averoldi poi adibirono il luogo a Cimitero degli appestati nei sec. XVI° e XVII°. Nel 1575 passò sotto la giurisdizione ecclesiastica della Parrocchia di Bedizzole. Nel 1723, sempre per intervento degli Averoldi, la chiesetta venne ricostruita nelle linee attuali.
Un segno della devozione delle popolazioni vicine sono i molti ex voto e la stele sormontata da Croce eretta nel 1854 da Angelo Serina di Lonato; un'altra croce, rinnovata nel 1888, ricorderebbe alcune fanciulle che per sfuggire alle insidie dei Francesi perirono in una buca colma di calce viva."
Anche se in abbandono, il luogo è molto suggestivo. Guardando dalle finestre sono visibili alcune stampelle e bastoni di legno, appartenuti ai morti di peste qui sotterrati.
