EARYSTANE 3 - Hide and Seek Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Southerntrekker: Hi There

As the owner has not responded to either my log or my colleague's previous log requesting that they check this cache I am archiving it.

Please note that once the cache has been archived, this can not be undone. This is explained in the Help Center - http://support.groundspeak.com//index.php?pg=kb.page&id=70

You will need to create a new listing, put it back in for review and as long as it meets today's guidelines and no other caches have been published in the area causing a proximity problem, then it will be published.

Regards

Geocache Description:

EARYSTANE 3 - Hide and Seek is a traditional cache hidden in Earystane Nature Reserve.

The land served as the parish tip until around 1970 when it was abandoned. In 1996 the Manx Wildlife Trust secured a £5000 grant from Barclays Site Savers Programme and work commenced to remove the rubbish, lay paths and a boardwalk and plant trees and shrubs.

It's a short trail and the cache area will be reached very quickly.

Permission for this cache has kindly been granted by the Manx Wildlife Trust on the condition that no disturbance is made to plants, wildlife or bird-watchers. The cache can't be seen by the casual observer and can be reached without any impact on the environment. Thankyou for your consideration, happy hunting and hopefully you may even spot some wildlife while you're there!

The cache is a 35mm film canister connected by a magnet and contains a log-book and pencil.

A large layby for parking is available 150m along the road.

Congratulations to Happy Humphrey for FTF
