Brown Town Oval is a recreation area between the Great Western Highway and Main Railway, approx 2km's south east of Mt Victoria.
Official name Mt Victoria Sports Ground as per Crown Lands data base. The name Brown Town coming from the old locality name in this area. Gazetted for Public Recreation 21st April 1880. No 50027
The waypoint given is for the Survey Marker that was placed as close to the line that Evans surveyed. For those who like a little history please take a moment to stop as you pass the Marker. See the photos for more Info.
You can park next to the oval or around the side of the bush. Enjoy this small patch of bushland and watch for muggles as this area can get busy.
