Geocache Description:

Come and visit the smallest hotel in the historic Hampshire village of Old Basing!

Located on the new Basing Trail and close to Basingstoke Common in the heart of Old Basing this cache can be approached on foot, bike, car and horse. Its very close to the ruins of Basing House.

PLEASE NOTE: This is the second iteration of this cache as the first was muggled. As a result I have moved the cache about 0.3 miles from the original location, to a less exposed spot, but one that is now more easily accessible, including cache 'n dash.

An open common popular with local dog walkers and provides great views of Basingstoke town centre (especially at night).

This cache joins up my existing series of Old Basing caches with those in the Basing Lime Pits and the Crabtree Plantation and Black Dam.

The cache is a small tupperware box and is part of the offical 'Travel Bug Hotel' series - its been hidden with 5 trackables ready to be found and moved on as well as a few quality swapsies.

Please take care to cover back up as this is a high foot traffic area.
