Seaton Night Hike Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

AdventureRat: After almost 15 years, it's time to retire this cache. Although there have been no DNFs since I last did maintenance six years ago, there have only been 9 finds, and none in the last three years. I don't think that there's the same level of desire for night caching anymore, plus a lengthy multi doesn't fit into the plans of many numbers-driven cachers.

All stages have been removed, that is all stages except for the first one, where both the reflector and the micro container had vanished. Thank you to all that visited this cache!

Geocache Description:

This is a four stage multi-cache hidden in the Heritage Trail section of the Seaton Trail. It is meant to be done at night using a fairly high-powered flashlight, preferably with a narrow beam. The hike is a two kilometre round-trip from the trailhead provided.

At the posted coordinates, use your flashlight to locate a reflective target about the size of a toonie, mounted approximately two metres above the ground. Within one metre of the target, you will find a micro containing the coordinates for stage two. Stage two is very similar to stage one.

Stage three is simply a micro, although the container is much smaller and better hidden than the previous stages. The final cache is a one kilo peanut butter container.

Stage one is the furthest away, and each successive stage will bring you back closer to the trailhead. Keep this in mind if you are planning to find any of the other caches in this trail system.

All stages are very winter friendly, except immediately after a severe snowfall. Good luck, and remember to have fun!
