Geocache Description:

Near the south end of Threemile Lake. About 1.5 mile roundtrip if you go all the way to the lake and back to the parking coords. This is the Threemile South Trail. Nothing at the parking coords but a wide spot in Sparrow Park Road.

There was a cache nearby several years ago - 3-Mile Lake/Dune Hike Revisited. It had only eight finds before it was archived - hope this one has a longer run! GPSr may give you trouble under this dense forest canopy so I'll give an ample description and give-away hint.

Cross the bridge then check out one of the larger trees in the immediate vicinity located to the south of the bridge. Use the hint if you still have trouble. Looking for an ammo can.

Take time to explore the area. Check out the sandy beach at the lake. Another trail takes off near the bridge to the west connecting with the dunes where you could trek back down to the end of Sparrow Park Road (south) or turn north and connect with the longer Threemile Lake Trail which is accessed from the USFS Tahkenitch Campground trailhead roughly 3 miles to the north.
