Geocache Description:

Photobucket Photobucket

This is number 1 in the emCache series, all of which have all been placed by members of the East Midlands Geocaching community. Each cache in the series contains a number and letter which relates to the final mystery cache.

This particular cache has been placed on Stanton Moor on the edge of the Peak District near to the 9 ladies stone circle English Heritage site. The moor has been used for over 4000 years for agriculture, mining, living settlements and as a burial ground. Legend has it that the stone circle was created when 9 ladies and a fiddler were all turned to stone for dancing on the sabbath.

The cache can be done as part of small circular walk, parking at Birchover quarry car park (see waypoint) and heading north towards 'Valley of The Bones (GC1M87N), Alien's Hideaway (GC1C09), upto the 9 ladies stone circle and across to this cache, once done continue along the path on the tower side of the fence to Stanton Enclosure (GCJY3K).

The owner of this cache is a proud emCache member
