It's a small camo taped container with a small FTF prize. Please
take time to explore this little area and enjoy it's history.
This unique little area started in 1903 when the Strathcona
creamery was built and used this area to dump the whey from making
the butter. In 1999 the horticulture society decided to dedicate
this area with the planting of some carolinian trees and different
grasses. Plaques have been erected to detail the area and different
species of flora and fauna. The plant life has flourished inspite
of all the salt from the whey which many people were concerned
about. There is ample parking behind the West Elgin Mutual
building.
