This Union Pacific trestle over Rock Creek offers spectacular
photo-ops for the railroad buffs who are fortunate enough to be
here when the train crosses this elevated span. This is one of the
more peaceful and picturesque stretches of the North Fork of the
Feather River. The highway bridge here is one of four bridges that
take Highway 70 across the river in the canyon. Each crossing
offers it's own unique scenery. Check them all out. You'll find
caches at each of them and many in between, as well as a couple
just across this bridge on the Rock Creek Road.
This is one of five caches I have placed in the canyon today to
help commemorate the innaugural P.A.L.S. (Plumas and Lassen
Searchers) Club Meet and Greet (GC1K6AX) on Saturday, Feb. 7 in
Chester, Ca. Join us.
Please take care when replacing the cache. Careless replacement
not only makes it too easy for the next cacher, but makes it too
easy for muggles. Thanks.
Even though this is a turnout, please consider the traffic in
regards to your younguns and pets. Enjoy your trip and thanks for
stopping by. A prize exists for the FTF. BYOP
