Ahh, another DM Adventure !
Discussed with Cache-a-Cowboy going on a hike up to this waterfall. It was an adventure and the hike up will not dissapoint.
You'll be looking for a full sized AMMO box. Near the impressive Squibb Falls.(Upper)
Hiking is over lots of rocks and boulders along a small creek.
You might want to bring your waterproof boots, there are 7 creek crossings prior to the lower Falls and at least 7 more on the way up to the UPPER !!!
You'll be either be experienced creek and rock hopper, or you'll be wet, either way, most crossing you can hop the rocks across, but come prepared. Hiking wise, count on a little over a mile and then some. The last .25 mile the trail is not marked and may be hard to see in places. Steep banks, big rocks and creek crossing await, press on !
Elevation on the first 1/2 mile is gradual, climbing only 300ft or so. The last 1/4 mile gets a much steeper !.
Elevation gain is approx 1200' over 2.0miles, the last .25 mile is not marked very well ! Elevation at end is 2950'.
FTF HONORS GO TO cache a cowboy! !!!
