Geocache Description:

Really simple, straight forward cache that you can nearly drive up to. No challenges - there is, though, a barbed wire fence just beyond the cache - you don't need to cross it.

When I was growing up the thing to do was to borrow your big brothers car and then pick up your girlfriend (to be politically correct - your boyfriend can be inserted here - but I can't say that any girlfriend of my ever came and picked me up). Then after cruising the loop for a while you would head out to the local hot spot to do some "necking". I know that here are a few caches out there that can remember that word. We all had our favorite 'hot spots' Well, the area where this cache is hid would have been a good one. You could have used the line "Hey baby, let's go out to EOL - Park VII and watch the corn grow". If that didn't work, how about "Let's go out to EOL - Park VII and watch the submarine races".

Then off you would go to a fun filled evening under the stars. Oh, what these kids now days are missing out on - a good night of "necking".

Now, more trivia - "Bushwhacking" . It had nothing to do with tromping through the bush trying to find a cache. No, bushwhacking is all part of the "necking" thing. If you couldn't borrow the car and go pick up your babe - you would just get a bunch of friends together and head out the local hot spot anyway. You would park a ways away and then sneak up to the unsuspecting couple in the car and "bushwhack" them. Boy, the scramble was on - the people in the car would scramble to get presentable and the bushwhackers would scramble to get away so that they wouldn't get whacked. To this day I'm not sure which was more fun - necking or bushwhacking......

Ok, for the cache container. I read the Feb. issue of the group's newsletter. It described a container called an ammo can - been years since I have seen one - thought it would nostalgic to put one of these out. Searched high and low and was able to locate one. If you haven't been to the stores lately the ammo cans have been replaced by evil blinkies.

There are a few trade items in the container.

EOY - Park VII well, that means End of the Line in Development Park VII. This is an area that will experience a lot of chance (development) when the economy gets back on track. There will be a new interchange on I-90 just to the west, The new college is nearing completion of phase one to the south. It will be fun to watch it grow.

Have fun.
