An easy-ish drive by cache, a short drive from The Lee, near Pauperhaugh or Rothbury or Morpeth depending on which way you choose to come in.
A nice quite spot in amongst the trees and down by the river to watch the local wildlife and cars deciding whether to cross or not! Depending on the time of year (tree cover) and how much rain fell up in the hills (river depth and speed) and (which way you approach) the cache could be more or less difficult at certain times. If the ford is full and you weigh less than 2 tonnes you can cross over by the two bridges, I did.
You don’t need to go into the river but be careful along the bank and down by the ford crossing.
