Geocache Description:

RAMONA PARK LIVES
AND IS BEING RESTORED

DO NOT use Hotel Parking

NOTE: Park Gate only open during the following schedule (As of 2012):
Sat and Sun (April thru October): 7am - 8pm
Monday (April thru October): 8am - 8pm
Friday: (May thru Sept): 8am - 8pm
All times other than above park gate closed.
This is a little fishing lake and park with a paved trail running around the lake and small area of playground equipment for the kids.

A new Hotel has been built just outside the boundary of the park, DO NOT use parking here - Customer use only and fences are being built to seperate park and hotel. Please use Park Entrance from the West side of the lake and the park’s parking area to retrieve cache. The next road north from Hotel will take you around to Park Entrance. (Waypoints have been added for these).

During the Airport Expansion the whole area around this park was leveled after it was deemed un-inhabitable and incorporated in the noise abatement project.

Since then this has become the new development “NorthPark” Project.

Luckily for this little park it was incorporated into the plans and instead of being dozed level with the rest of the area it has been restored.

Cache is about 400 yards down a level paved trail from the parking for the lake. (strange from either direction its about the same). However, the final 100 Yards will be off this trail. Light bushwaking maybe required to actually retrieve cache Since not sure what long term care will be given to the area of the cache - It may be allowed to grow wild.
With the new location 5/4/09 It is not necessary to climb any slope. Walk is rough wild growth but level. could get muddy at times in this location.
Since I’m guessing they will leave this as wildgrowth, I recommend bug repellant and long pants during the summer due to the high grass. (hopefully bug levels will be controlled due to the nature of the area.

Currently, Winter has the grass flattened so not a large problem.

Due to new location on a relatively new cache
I will except repeat finds from those who previously found the old location.

CONGRATULATIONS CRIBBAGEWITCH ON FTF (AFTER DARK!)
