I have been thinking
about placing a cache here for awhile. About two years ago I placed
an Ithaca Scenic View cache with the intention on creating a
small series of caches with scenic views in the area. I thought
this would be a good spot for the second in the series.
A few evenings ago I
looked out my window and saw the most spectacular sunset I've seen
while living in this area. The first thing I thought of was that I
wished I was at the spot where this cache is placed to have an
unobstructed view. I knew that I ought to place a cache here soon
so that others might be able to take in the view. Even without a
sunset the view here is one of the best in the Ithaca area but I
recommend looking for it at sunset if possible.
This spot is also a
popular area for viewing the annual Independence day fireworks.
Finding the area where the cache is hidden will be easy and
locating the container should prove only slightly more difficult.
Sorry, there is no room for trades and you'll have to BYOP. As I
said, this cache is all about the view.

This cache has been here for a very long time, and the area is MUCH harder to get to... There is very tall grass that can go up to your waist. The cache is at a certain tree, and there are many bugs living there. I HIGHLY recommend bring bug spray, and long pants. However that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the view :D
