This cache is located in a small "Overlook" off of I-40 West. This is NOT a park and grab. It is a short hike along a bluff and is NOT to be done AFTER DARK.
I have driven by here often and wondered what the view was, because it is not that noticeable from the highway. I have seen people standing on picnic tables with cameras and think that maybe they have managed to find the view with a slight adjustment to perspective. However, during my 7 years of driving by I had never stopped.
I looked for a cache here. I spent quite a bit of time trying to find it, but couldn't. I later found out that the cache was on the other side of the fence - not in the overlook ... and it had just been archived. So...hence the title - Overlooked and Out of Luck (maybe I should have added Out of My Mind).
Hopefully, you will be able to find the view and the cache. You are looking for a small lock and lock type container. It can hold small trade items, but no pen. The trail is very narrow and is next to a bluff, so use caution.
Please be careful in replacing the cache and logging your find so others may experience the cache too. Should this cache need attention or if you have any suggestions for improving this cache please send me an email.
Access this cache from the I - 40 Overlook only. Please do not access this cache from another road or cross fences. There is a bluff in this area and I do not want anyone hurt.
