Geocache Description:

As you might be able to ascertain by the title, this cache has a theme associated with it. If you are of the luckless type who doesn’t know your Swedish pimple from your pink lady nymph, just sign the log. However, if you enjoy wetting a line now and then, please trade like value fishing items here. This hide was put here for the people my grand mother was thinking of when she used to say “God loves people who love to fish.”

You will find a camouflaged p-nut butter jar stuffed with fishing items here. The original cache even includes a small reel. The lake close at hand offers Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout, Yellow Perch, Black Crappie, Bluegill, Brown Bullhead, Pumpkinseed and Largemouth Bass. In fact, I went “trout” fishing with a friend here once and she landed a bass over twenty inches in length!

After finding the cache, pause and cast for awhile. As a Babylonian proverb states, ‘The Gods do not deduct from a man’s allotted span, the hours spent in fishing’.

Oh, the gallant fisher’s life,
It is the best of any
‘Tis full of pleasure void of strife
And ‘tis beloved of many;

Piscators Song found in Izaak Waltons The Compleat Angler 1653

Feel free to post any great fishing quotes here as well. Here is one by Beatrice Cook penned in 1949 when she authored Till Fish Do Us Part; “A trout that doesn’t think two jumps and several runs ahead of the average fisherman is apt to get fried.”
