Geocache Description:

A beautiful small pond for fishing.

This is my second attempt at placing a cache at Robson (AKA Woods Pond). The last cache a little ways down the road disappeared shortly after it was placed. Fortunately, it was found by a couple of lucky cachers before going missing.

I moved this cache down the road a little bit to a new location that hopefully will be less muggled and not underwater in the spring. I had to archive #1 as the distance between #1 and #2 was to far to allow me to update the coords for #1.

Technically this is a new cache and available for FTF. The cache container is a micro with a log. You will need to bring your own writing implement.

This is what I had written on Cache #1.

I thought that I would combine two of my favorite outdoor sports into one this winter. That is Geocaching and Ice fishing. Both sports have brought me to some beautiful places.

My forth ice fishing geocache for 2009 is at a beautiful Robson (Woods) Pond in Bridgton (first is at Cold Rain Pond GC1KFT4, second is at Worthley Pond GC1KGXC, third Horne (Pequawket) Pond GC1KVV0). This is a beautiful four hundred and fifty six acre pond stocked with brown trout.

According to the state they stocked 50-16” brown trout and 150-12” brown trout in 2008.

Directions:
Take RTE 302 towards Bridgton. If you are coming from Naples on 302 you will want to turn left on to RTE 107/117 before you get into downtown Bridgton. Continue to follow 117 after it splits from 107. The boat launch is right on 117.

Good luck and happy caching a second time.
