Coordinates are for the parking area. This should be an easy find, less than a half-hour. The terrain is clear, no bushwhacking. The cache is located just off the trail on the greenway.
After parking, set out on a short hike. Cross the wooden bridge to enter the greenway. Hike along the trail west-ward. The trail will cross a paved road. The cache is in a 'rocky' location about 100 feet after crossing the road. It IS NOT anywhere near the rocky bank of the little creek. The cache is a small box. The area is clear and safe, just take care crossing the road. Please cache in, trash out! Watch for muggles.
The trail is used thru the day, but mostly after work hours. Bring a friend/pet! There are no restrooms, trash cans, drinking water or pet waste disposal stations so plan accordingly.
Initially the cache held 3 travel bugs, a Chrysler Infinity magnet, a fly, a pony, 2 cool cars, a spring scale, 3 glow bracelets, an LED light keychain, bubbles, a tape measure keychain, a small snow scene, a divot tool and a skull...mostly stuff for kids.
Now, after a rest to let the muggles' attention point elsewhere, I am re-establishing the cache. It is re-starting out with a knight, a mirror, 2 horses, a medal, a firefly, a slide game, a dice, a Friends of Scouting coin, a US flag, a pig keychain, a whistle, a NC carabiner, a dog, a girraffe with a message, a tiny Captain Moroni, and an emerald ring.
Muggles got it again :-( REPLACED 10/31/2020 !! Contents this time include some Boy Scouts of America Meckenburg County Council 100 years commemoration hang patches, an LDS BSA Merit Badge University hang patch, an NC carabiner, a keychain calculator, a C-rations style can opener, 2 book marks, two US flag lapel pins, a fish, a whistle on a lanyard, a penguin perescope, a bat, a robot, a first aid kit, a pair of scissors, and lizard.
