Geocache Description:

A short drive from Alice Springs for a quick and easy cache & some exercise at a significant cultural site.

Gaps Around the Ranges, cache #2

A visit to Emily Gap might be the start of your East MacDonnells Ramble, or you might be doing our series of Gaps Around the Ranges (this is No.2). It's a great place for a picnic on a sunny winter's day. There are toilets and picnic tables here.

I won't spoil the significance of this site by writing about it here. You'll just have to visit, find the cache and walk into the Gap. Make sure you look at the rock art (a mix of wax, ochre and possibly blood) on the eastern wall of the Gap.

The cache is a small green ex-army First Aid Kit box, similar in size to a decon container. Contains log book, swaps and pen.
