Since I had to Archieve the original Winona Pipeline and still wanted you to know some of the background of this pipeline and Lake Winona - I decided to move this cache west about 6 miles, with not quite as long of a hike to the cache. I kept the original container and left the trade items that were in the container, with this new placement. So, you are looking for a small camoed ammo box with trade items and trinkets. This will be a new FTF opportunity since I've changed locations on the cahe!!

The reason I brought you here is:

This is a place where the Winona Pipeline comes through heading to Little Rock's Ozark Point Water Treatment Plant. It originates at Lake Winona, a 1.9 sq. mile scenic reservoir, about 15 to 16 miles away from this point. Lake Winona was built in 1936 as the primary source of raw water for the then Little Rock Water Works. The first water flowed through these pipes on April 17, 1938. The pipeline is a 39" diameter gravity flow concrete pipe that still today provides 35% of Central Arkansas Water's daily requirements. In other words - NO PUMPS or Electricity. If you continue out west towards Paron on Kanis Road - every once in a while you'll notice signs showing where the underground pipeline crosses the road.
