Located on Khao Hin Lek Fai, a small mountain which overlooks the town of Hua Hin, and the gulf (and a golf course). Note that cache is located near a cliff!
This is a replacement cache for Hua Hin Overlook (GCZZDG), placed by gopetar, which was muggled. The new location is not far from the old gz, but hopefully a bit harder to see if you aren't looking for it. See spoiler. A group of friends got together in Feb 2009 to clean up the spot (CITO event: GC1KQ7E) and replace the cache. Kudos to those that didn't know what they were getting in to.
For best results, take a tuk-tuk to the Khao Hin Lek Fai overlook. Go out to the point where there are rocks and boulders overlooking the town and you will be quite close (be mindful of the drop-offs, especially with children). The path stops before you get there and you may encounter some cactus or need to climb a few boulders. It isn't too strenuous. The cache itself is in a safe area and you need not do anything dangerous to get it, but be aware there are drop-offs nearby.
More adventurous cachers have attempted to cut through the golf course or try other cross-country approaches. This may not work for you (not recommended, especially in intense heat); do be careful of the terrain, caddys, dogs, peacocks, monkeys, etc.
The container is large enough for several coins/bugs, and has attracted lots of international action (thanks, everyone!). HOWEVER, this cache has been muggled periodically (read the logs) so you may not want to trust your cargo to this cache. Leave bugs & coins at your own risk.
Note on maintenance: a local cacher has agreed to be the guardian.
