GAG13 - Return of the Restaurant Curse Traditional Cache
GreyingJay: I'm going to archive this one. The area is no longer a restaurant, has not been for years, and it's not exactly a scenic view or site worth visiting anymore.
Looks like the restaurant curse has taken eternal hold...

Placed for the Go And Get 'Em 13 event. Please do not seek this cache before 6:00pm on Friday the 13th (!) of February, 2009. Any logs prior to that time will be deleted!
I suspect there is a curse lurking in the unsuspecting Bell's Corners neighborhood. Once the heart of the city's west end, activity in Bell's Corners has been reduced as other nearby developments have grown around it and taken the limelight, like Barrhaven, Kanata, Stittsville. Businesses have come and gone over the decades. Nothing unusual about that. Where one has closed, another has risen from the ashes to take its place, and life goes on.
Except here.
Here, to the south of the cache location, a mystery lies within the abandoned ruins of a building which refuses to let the businesses within succeed. What happened here?
A Chinese buffet house, a lounge, a tex-mex restaurant, and many others before have tried their luck here... and failed. In fact, no fewer than seven unlucky establishments have come and gone here within the past thirteen years.
Seven? Thirteen? Coincidence? Or curse?
For the past seventeen years I have passed by this building on an almost daily basis. Over that time I've watched every business in the area thrive and grow. Except, somehow, for the ones unfortunate enough to be located here.
I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions as you find the small, camouflaged container placed here in remembrance of all whose fortunes were made and lost. Like the restaurants, the cache too appears to suffer from the curse. The previous hide was destroyed (along with the tree in which it was hidden).
The curse returns...
