This cache is placed to honor my Father, Mother and Brother for their service to our country. You are looking for a cache in a cache. You must know the answer to the hint to enter the cache.
My mother was an Army nurse in WW II. She never really spoke of her duty. My father was a Chief Radioman stationed on a destroyer. He was one week out of Pearl Harbor when the attack took place. His job was to decipher the Japanese communication. In addition, he served during the Korean War. My brother served in the Vietnam War. He served on the USS Okinawa, a helicopter ship.
On his last mission to Vietnam, I was able to join the ship in Hawaii for a "tiger" cruise. A "tiger" cruise allows crew members' family to join them for a short segment of the trip home. Upon my arrival in Hawaii, I was met by my cousin. He was an officer in the Air Force. He took me to a base there on the island. I still remember the chips out of buildings caused by the Japanese strafing. He then took me to the Arizona Monument. I remember traveling to the monument, looking at the oil still leaking from the submerged ship. Once on the monument, I remember looking at the wall of names of all the valiant men who perished that fateful day.
This cache is to honor my family, and all the men and women who perished that horrendous day. May God rest their souls.
