Geocache Description:


Jayne Beck is Also Known As, "The Pearl of the Conchos". As all geocachers use an alias, Charli and Bill are Also Known As "Mermaid & Horny Toad".

We were fortunate enough to have something in our town that relates to our geocaching names. So, of course, we had to incorporate this into a cache.

This is a two stage multi cache. It will take you to the central section of San Angelo and South of town.

From the above coordinates walk 41 feet to the East, along the river bank, until you are in front of the object in the river. At your feet you will find the plaque describing the statue.

To find the second stage, use the dates of Jayne Beck’s life. The last two digits of the year of her birth will be reversed to fill in the blanks of the latitude.

For the blanks in the longitude, use the following clues. Using the first three numbers of the year of her death, do the following math problem:
To the first number, add two.
To the second number, subtract five.
To the third number, subtract nine.
