Monk's Steps Traditional Cache
whitecamel: The cache is no longer accessible as the landowner has put up a new fence. There is no other suitable location so I have no option but to put this one to bed.

This cache is located very close to the road but is best accessed by descending Monk's steps, which lead from Worlebury at the top to the village of Kewstoke at the bottom. This is a steep descent not suitable for wheelchair access (sorry). Monk's Steps are National Trust owned so please treat the area with respect.
The cache is a micro and contains just a log sheet so bring something to write so you can record your visit.
Whilst it is very near to the road at Monk's Hill, it is extremely steep and narrow so please do not try and park here to hunt for the cache, it is not intended as a cache and dash!!!
Parking in Kewstoke is extremely limited so this cache is best accessed from the top where parking is easier, but be prepared for a bit of mud under foot. The views here across to Sand Point and the Severn Estuary are exceptional. Once you have located the cache, why not continue down the hill into Kewstoke, but use the footpath not the road, otherwise you won't find this cache! You will need to take great care so it is not suitable for the very young, elderly or disabled. The footpath brings you out opposite the lovely St Paul's Church in Kewstoke. From here you can explore the villages of Kewstoke and Sand Bay.
