Park in the main St Dogmaels car park, opposite the PO & Bowen's chip shop (recommended!). Short walk towards the river, the beginning of which is wheelchair/buggy friendly. In order to locate the cache it is necessary to leave the main path. Terrain from this point is slippery when wet & involves negotiating some obstacles & a small drop.
Alban Arthan, Welsh translation: 'light of winter' derived from the Welsh poem, Light of Arthur, is celebrated on the winter solstice. This cache is positioned overlooking the River Teifi & adjacent to the 'water feature' created to prevent another landslide in St Dogmaels.
Although this is a cache & dash, the village of St Dogmaels has many points of interest. Known locally for its walks - details of which can be found at the PO or the Coach House - in close proximity to the cache is the Norman Abbey with Coach House Visitor Centre & Cafe & the beautiful St Thomas' Church.
Please try to replace the container in the exact position in which you found it. Thanks.
