A tricky micro in a quiet area with a nice view. Fairly level ground apart from the last few yards. No stiles to negotiate.
Years ago, I used to cycle around this area and Hatt Lane was a normal narrow country lane, open to all traffic. In about 1992, the road was closed to motor vehicles. It is now incorporated into the National Cycle Network and it is on route 24. If you are walking to Mottisfont village or the Abbey (a National Trust property) from Mottisfont & Dunbridge station, you will more than likely walk along this lane and past the cache. You can also reach it from a footpath that cuts across the fields from the railway station. Why not explore the area and do the other local caches? If you are driving, you will have to park at either end of the lane. I have included some parking waypoints on this cache page to allow you to park safely. You are looking for a preform tube, carefully hidden. A handy bench is located nearby so you can enjoy the view across the fields whilst having a sandwich or looking out for wildlife. Please replace as found to ensure the experience is as good for the next cacher. Thanks and good luck!
