I met a fellow Geocacher at work today. Not a big deal you say? To me it was. You see, I have had, to date, only one other occasion to meet another geocacher, therefore I was thrilled. I told her that I had recently hid my first cache and I disclosed how many I have found. She told me she had found that many last weekend alone. She went on to tell me that she has found THOUSANDS of geocaches! She told me some great stories from her vast experience of caches she has found. Some of these caches were touching, some were scary, some were easy, some were humorous, some were misleading and some were what she called evil. I told her that I liked hides that are a little tricky and my favorite caches are ammo cans. I told her I was looking for real metal ammo can (not a plastic one) for the next cache that I wanted to hide. She told me she had a metal one right in her car, and I could have it, but the latch was broken. I put a log sheet in it, wired shut the latch, and hid it that very day
