oldfriends joined the geocaching community in 2002. His first find was “Martin Park” (GC8B9C) on December 20th. He has geocached in 9 states: North Carolina, Florida, New York, Virginia, New Jersey, Tennessee, Maryland, Delaware, and South Carolina.

oldfriends has been a positive role model for geocachers young and old. He is often found geocaching with his grandson, geomonsterjr. Living in the Pinehurst area, he has always been very supportive of the Fayetteville geocaching community by hunting caches, attending events and helping out during CITOs. He is always willing to lend a helping hand and share a kind word.

He placed his first cache "Cannon Cash Cache" (GCH51V) on October 29th, 2003. To date he has found 1010 caches, hidden 19 traditional caches, 2 multi caches and held 1 event cache. He has been FTF on 36 caches and counting!
