Old Homestead Traditional Cache

As a Geocacher traveling the highways, you can't help looking and thinking "That spot would be a great place to hide a cache!".

After looking at all the wide spots along the roads and highways, we figured these spots were just that! A great place for a cache.

These caches are located in "Just Another Wide Spot Along Side The Road". We wanted to use that for the title, but it was just to long. So we named them for area they are in.

We're hoping other cachers will take up this idea too. We look forward that one day we'll see the highways wide spots full of caches.

Most Wide Spots have nice paved shoulders, but we suggest that parking at these locations should be well off the highways and paved shoulders. Also making sure that they are not on corners and have plenty of sight of the traffic in both directions for re-enter the highways for safety reasons.
