Geocache Description:

This is a six-stage cache that will take you on a stroll to interesting spots around Granville Island, a popular place in the heart of Vancouver. It can be done completely on foot and should take less than an hour but we recommend that you allow lots of extra time to enjoy the many sights, sounds and flavors. Bring a pen, paper and a print-out for the simple arithmetic involved in the clues.

All waypoints are N 49 and W 123. Where you see brackets below, simply find the number in the brackets and use its digits in the co-ordinates: for example, 8.2[12+19+4] would become 8.235.

Proceed to 16.177, 8.131 where X marks the spot.
Let A be the number of X's.

Proceed to 16.[A*3]7, 7.[A+1]88 to see interesting places to live.
B is the number of the one with circles.
(Note from owner: I have learned that the number has been removed. Please use B = 7)

Proceed to 16.3[A+B+11], 8.[(2*A*B)+6]
These 5 buildings were enclosed together in the year 197C.

Proceed to 16.3[(B*C)+11], 8.0[(A*C)+12]
Sit down and enjoy the view. D is the number of horizontal metal cables you have to look through to enjoy it.

Proceed to 16.2[(C*D)+B+2], 8.1[(A*D)+30]
E is the number of blades.

Final Location: 16.[(A*D*E)+(B*C)-15], 8.[(B*D*E)+C+1]

The cache is a black micro with logbook. It is able to hold a couple of geocoins but that’s about all. Please bring a pen to sign and write small. Thank you for visiting.
