This five-part multi-cache will take you through the relatively new Uxbridge Country Preserve, the Timber Tract of Durham Forest, as well as the path that connects the two. Round trip is approximately six Kms with very few difficult elevation changes which should make for a very enjoyable hike for people of most ages and abilities.
The first stage takes you to a once private golf course. It has been said that someone had built his own private golf course on what is now part of the Uxbridge Country Preserve. If you look around you at the first co-ordinates, you will see what look like multiple fairways. There is even an irrigation pipe visible near the cache…Subsequent stages will take you near the Wooden Sticks Golf Course and then on to the Timber tract. At no point will you need to go onto private property. These are some of the finest hiking trails to be found and the entire series is now extremely winter friendly. Enjoy and Good Luck
