This trail was built by Oregon City in 2004. When I lived in Oregon City, I enjoyed many a summer evening walk along this trail, watching and listening to the birds in the cove (I saw two eagles perched in the trees on the morning I placed this cache!). I hope you enjoy it too.
The area between the trail and the freeway was at one time scheduled to be developed into The Cove, a mixed-use waterfront shopping and condo village. The project has been shelved for now.
The given coordinates take you to the roadside parking area. The trail heads north from here. At the trailhead count the number of covered wagons shown on the sign. Let that be A. Your next set of coordinates is:
N 45 22.(A*119)
W 122 35.(A*216)
When you reach the next spot, look on the ground. You will see one digit. Let that be B. The next set of coordinates is where the cache is located:
N 45 22.(AB*14)-2
W 122 35.(AB*19)+4
The cache contains a logbook and pencil with room for a few small items.
