Geocache Description:

Every year the Bataan Death March Marathon is held at White Sands Missile Range in southern New Mexico

It is a 26.6 mile march or run, all but 4 miles on dirt, with a nasty climb into the mountains and back down. But the worst is at mile 20, where you come across a one mile sand pit. (visit link) com arch.)

I have done it twice, in the military light classification (combat boots and BDU's). My second time was under 6 hours.

The area north of here along the NW trail reminded me of the sand pit. You are looking for a long tube.

I placed this cache after a long mountain bike ride out from the McConnell AFB area of town. If you plan on biking, do not bring a road bike. If you drive and walk, look at some of the other caches for parking locations.

This cache was placed to fulfill a challenge cache in the area.
