This is a small cache.
There is a story that goes along with the placing of this cache.
A few years back myself & GeoSplunk decided to launch his canoe in the Westfield River. We thought we would drop the canoe in at one end and ride the river down towards the Westfield Shops and/or possibly as far as the Big Y located on Westfield Road. Well two dams and 45 minutes of portage later we ended up at the bridge near Elm St. in Westfield. Yet another dam, exhausted and cold, we decided that we had had enough. Wepulled the canoe out once and for all. We were wet, cold and very tired. We just decided that we were done with it all - we hit one too many dams and could not carry that canoe any further.
Unfortunately I had to call my friend who lives in Russell to come and rescue us. This was one of the many adventures with canoes & rafts.
