Geocache Description:

Quick Cache-and-Dash in beautiful Lancaster County.

This cache was placed with the gracious permission of the owner of this farm. A member of the Old Order Amish, please respect his property and grab this cache Monday through Saturday during daylight hours.. Enjoy the scenery, but drive safely and share the roads with the horse-drawn buggies, bikes, and roller-blades. Say hi to Amos and his family, but please refrain from taking pictures of them.

You know that milk comes from cows, don't you? Actually a lot of city kids think that it comes from a factory. The "fresh" milk we get starts at a farm, is trucked to a dairy, cooked, the cream removed, then whipped so that the fat globules are broken up so that you won't see how little cream you are getting, bottled, and trucked to the store..

Real fresh milk starts at the farm, where the cows are allowed to graze instead of being fed "cow food". This milk is bottled at the farm, and sold with the cream still on the top. In Pennsylvania "raw" milk must meet the same inspections as cooked (pasteurized) milk. Try it (and the cheese), you'll like it!

BYOP. Oh, and say hi to cows while you are at it.
