ScienceCacher: Since the some cachers trespassed and the unfriendly muggle trashed the cache, I am taking it down and will look for another location.

Geocache Description:

This cache is placed on Wire Branch Road, just off US 60 and should be a fun and easy hunt for young cachers.

As an educator, I believe that one of the most fun aspects of caching is taking a youngster on a caching trip. The enthusiasm of the hunt and the excitement of the find is hard to beat if you have kids along. In fact, I got hooked on geocaching in 2004 when I took my nephews, Robert and Michael, caching in Sitka, Alaska. Those two were like bloodhounds looking for and eventually finding KidsGeoCache (GC6E). Incidentally, the cache is one of the first 100 caches ever placed, and is still active. As of February 2009, only 44 of the first 100 geocaches are still active.
I wanted to place a cache where kids can make an easy find and gain confidence. There isn’t much traffic on Wire Branch so muggles shouldn’t be a major problem.
I stocked the cache with new swag that youngsters should enjoy. I am also launching a new Cabell Midland High School travel bug since the school is nearby.

Original cache contents include:
• Silly Putty
• Light up Yo Yo
• Toy race car
• Magic Towel
• Knight’s Travel Bug VIII (just back from Honolulu)

The container is a liter size Lock & Lock painted camo.

Take a kid out and enjoy caching.
