Geocache Description:


This is designed, in a way, to make an extended walk from the nearby Chapel Brook cache. It's a nice walk from the church in Euxton to pick up these two, and there's fine views over the flats as you descend the steps from the motorway bridge.


Haymaking in the adjacent meadows

There is loads of scope for caching round here, with paths going off all over the show, with hardly any hides on it - a real untapped goldmine!

I saw my first lambs of the year setting this cache, plus rabbits, squirrels, and lots of birdlife.

Between this cache and the motorway is Stanfield Well, which is only shown on the older historic maps. I only found this out on my return, so it'd be interesting to see if it's still there.

Beware of the barbed wire near the cache!
